Aspen is a life to live…

I don’t even want to look at when I last posted anything.  Worst.  Blogger.  Ever.
So, last weekend we headed to Snowmass Village to stay at Tina’s uncle’s house on the golf course.  Tina, her nephew, and her uncle all spent loads of time on various golf courses around the area.  I hung out and “relaxed” [...]

Urgent! Urgent! Urgent! Urgent! Emergency!

Ha ha, not really.
Wow, I’m behind.  I meant to write this about a week and a half ago.  Slacker.
So, a couple of weekends ago, I volunteered to be a victim in a MASS CASUALTY INCIDENT!  Fortunately it was a big fake mass casualty incident.  Tina is taking an EMT course, and all the students had [...]

A wild pack of family dogs…

While Mom was in Denver, Reggie got to stay at my house with the “real dogs”.  Now, those of you who know Reggie might describe him as high-maintenance, or pampered, or spoiled rotten.  Yea, maybe.  But, he’s also awfully sweet and funny.  My house was full of comic relief while he was there.  Especially since [...]

And they call it puppy love…

Usually when I’m out with pups, people comment on Grover (Mr. Barky von Schnauzer), or Lady (big fluffy St. Bernard) if she’s with me, but Tillie (Miss Australian Cattle Dog) doesn’t usually garner much attention.  It always surprises me, cause I think she’s beautiful, but maybe people just aren’t as familiar with her kind of [...]

Just too busy being fabulous…

Ha ha ha ha ha!  I crack myself up.
So, it’s been a busy couple of weeks!  After that lovely 2 week holiday shutdown, I went back to work.  And guess what!  It hasn’t slowed down.
Aside from work, I’ve been busy with some fun stuff too.
A couple of weekends ago, I got a text message from [...]

All is quiet on New Year’s Day…

Happy New Year!
It’s been an eventful couple of weeks!
Christmas in Greeley was relatively quiet and definitely white!!  (Think Colorado Christmas by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band… lovely!)  Tina’s sister and niece came up from Colorado Springs to visit on Christmas day (with tiny Jersey the chihuahua), and Lady (the giant St. Bernard) was here also, so [...]

That’s what you get for waking up in Vegas…

Here’s what I did, learned, and observed in Vegas last week (at least the parts I can tell you, tee-hee!):
Did:

Attended a work-related conference
Presented a session at that conference
Killed my BlackBerry battery twice doing conference calls with work
Stayed indoors for about 2.5 days straight
Talked to strangers
Won $29 at craps at my favorite cheap casino
Introduced strangers to [...]

Been a long time gone…

As Aunt Jane has pointed out, I’ve been a big slacker blogger again!  What have I been up to?  Work.  And then some work, then a bit more work.  Whew!
I’ve been doing some more loom knitting, and need to take some pics of stuff.  I made a shawl out of this cool fuzzy blue yarn [...]

The winner takes it all…

The loser standing small…
And the loser is me!
I usually stay pretty even at card games – win some, lose some.  Depends on the game of course, but I do okay.  And I always always always win at Trivial Pursuit.  If I lose at that, it’s because someone is cheating - I won’t mention names, but sometimes [...]

I melt…

Last weekend, I went to the Greeley Arts Picnic.  Of course, the main attraction was the food (especially the crepes!), but there was a lot of art and crafty stuff to check out too.  I always like to go look at things and think, “I could make that!”  Or, more often, “Tina could totally make [...]
