Do you ever wake up with a song in your head?\u00a0 (Not one of those annoying ones that you can’t stand to have there.\u00a0 Just a song.\u00a0 Usually a good one.)<\/p>\n
We were listening to some tunes the other night while we were playing cards, and “Chevy Van” came on.\u00a0 Awesome song, with some (probably unintentionally) funny lyrics, like “Get some sleep and dream of rock and roll.”\u00a0 Plus, you have to love a song about a Chevy, right?\u00a0 So, we’ve been cracking up and repeating that line around here every night for… a while.\u00a0 So far, it never gets old!\u00a0 We crack ourselves up around here.<\/p>\n
So, I wake up with completely random songs in my head ALL the time.\u00a0 There’s really no logic to it, either.\u00a0 I’ve started paying attention to what I listen to at\u00a0 night or hear in the car, and seeing if there’s any connection… there’s not!\u00a0 Just in the last week, my brain has woken itself up to “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” (Bette Midler version), “Just Another Girl” (Pete Yorn), “Java Jive” (Ink Spots) and this morning… “Mighty Wing” (Cheap Trick), from Top Gun<\/span>.\u00a0 Sometimes it’s upbeat, sometimes not so much, but always with no connection to anything that I think I’m thinking about.\u00a0 It’s like I have my own personal soundtrack in my brain.\u00a0 But the soundtrack doesn’t always match up with the plot line.\u00a0 I wonder what tomorrow will bring…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Do you ever wake up with a song in your head?\u00a0 (Not one of those annoying ones that you can’t stand to have there.\u00a0 Just a song.\u00a0 Usually a good one.)
