Lots of stuff has happened since I last wrote&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mom &#038; Dad &#038; Reggie came to visit me!\u00c2\u00a0 We had lots of fun (at least I think so&#8230;).\u00c2\u00a0 We did some shopping, some bike-riding, had Cajun boil at Plantation, played games&#8230;\u00c2\u00a0 Dogs are funny.\u00c2\u00a0 Reggie&#8217;s pretty wimpy about going outside with the &#8220;real dogs.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 But &#8211; you get a toy out, and Grover&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0the big pansy.\u00c2\u00a0 He&#8217;ll go chase down the toy, but as soon as Reggie gets near, he just gives it up.<\/li>\n<li>Trina asked me to sing at her wedding!\u00c2\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>I had my second golf lesson.\u00c2\u00a0 Wow.\u00c2\u00a0 I can hit the same distance (approximately 40 yards) with either my driver or my 8-iron.\u00c2\u00a0 The big compliment I got at this lesson&#8230; &#8220;You know, with you, we&#8217;re really starting from scratch!\u00c2\u00a0 We don&#8217;t have to try to break any of your bad habits, since you haven&#8217;t developed them yet!&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 Ugh.\u00c2\u00a0 The big goal for me for the next lesson is to just be able to hit the ball consistently.<\/li>\n<li>I started testing Stormy&#8217;s glucose level at home.\u00c2\u00a0 He&#8217;s such a good patient\u00c2\u00a0&#8211; he just sits and takes whatever I have to do to him.\u00c2\u00a0 Right now, he&#8217;s getting stabbed with sharp needles at least 4 times a day &#8211; 2 insulin injections and at least 2 glucose tests.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;d read that human glucose monitors can kind of skew the results of dog blood, so Tina suggested testing Grover&#8217;s blood to see how it compares&#8230; thank goodness Grover&#8217;s not the diabetic dog&#8230; He&#8217;s much less&#8230; er&#8230; <em>patient<\/em> than Storm.\u00c2\u00a0 I can&#8217;t imagine if I had to do this to the cat!<\/li>\n<li>I baked a coffee cake.\u00c2\u00a0 Yum!<\/li>\n<li>I used the self-cleaning feature on the oven.\u00c2\u00a0 Not thinking very hard about this, I did it on one of those gorgeous 80 degree days we had recently, heating the house up to approximately 118 degrees&#8230; But the oven looks great!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So much for my effort to have something to write about every day.\u00c2\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t done so well with that!
